Selected Patterns from "The Art of Bobbin Lace" by Louisa and Rosa Tebbs

This is a subject I find fascinating, but which I'm betting will be sufficiently unintelligible to most people to induce drowsiness. Actually, I'm a beginner at bobbin lace, and the patterns described here are, I'm pretty sure, far beyond my current abilities, even though apparently this book is aimed at beginners.

Bobbin Lace is PL OK!

I can see how it would be fascinating for some, sleep-inducing for others. 8-)

Thanks!

I heard a show on the radio talk about this instrument, and how, eventually, the Glass Armonica's sounds were blamed for causing seizures and insanity, and even facilitated communication with the dead. Perhaps because it's a somewhat haunting sound?? I was hoping to find a work that spoke of this, but so far haven't been successful.
