so many crazy math equations! it was quite a weird thing to read.
Thanks! I'll (hopefully) be able to listen tonight or tomorrow.

The Meaning of Relativity:

Impressive! Now, if I were back in university, I might understand what was going on. That, and having the text in front of me rather than listening to it. (I have a BS in mathematics, but I've done nothing with it over the past 20 years or so.)

5:12 - repeat? "We see that we continue body A, we can continue body A"

16:36 - "One is ordinarily accustomed" - this starts really quiet and fades in.

40:14 - big stumble, frustration, and continuation. ;)

42:10 - 3 second pause after "d over dt"

10 seconds' silence at the end; only need 5

The series of equations at about 51 minutes was very rhythmic, almost musical.
Why do I want some pho? Subliminal messaging?

thanks Tricia-- I certainly seem to have rushed my editing work.
I'll get these fixed this weekend

Just to clarify: that comment about the rhythmic reading was just a comment, not a PL note. :)

fixed everything except the first note-- upon checking the text, that's how it's written... except I did say "see" instead of "say" in the first segment. I gambled that one mis-spoken word wasn't serious enough to re-record for...

Thank you! I agree that the word change isn't important enough to fix. (I wouldn't have mentioned the possible repeat if it hadn't been for the other items.)

Well, I've been wanting to do one of these for a long time. . . . . so, here's my shot.

W. Kent & Co's Annual Catalogue, April 1859

I thought it would edit down to a little less.
Further hint: Don't edit an insomnia collection piece when it's time for a Sunday afternoon nap; it really does work.

I'm stopping PL'ing here. Can you please double check and make sure you didn't repeat something? And do the edits so far, if a clean version isn't later in the recording. Please let me know the time stamp around where this last edit was made (or if you cut out that whole chunk of edits with a clean recording, let me know that, so I can know where to start listening fresh).

The silver lining? I think this will definitely end up within the 72-minute limit!

In the interests of redeeming my slouching self back into this collection, I am thinking of recording one or more selections from The Five Great Philosophies of Life, by William de Witt Hyde:

WDYT?
Thank you...LJB 😴
O dear.
Looks like I won't have time to do it before this collection closes.
I'll save it for another time.

How much time do you need to record it? The last section IS still open...

Oh, this is embarrassing

I was sure I had gone back over that section, and i'm sorry I didn't triple check.

I will take care of it.

Works for me!

If anyone pops in with another submission in the next 2-3 days before you get yours in, we'll stretch this project to 21 sections. ;)

Exactly right. I think I nodded off and thought I had backed up to that point, but didn't
That is not the most embarrassing part, though; it's that you now know how poorly I actually read and how much I stumble around.
(Say six shillings cloth fast six time) And, I sigh to myself, etc.

Anyway, I just did a fresh edit starting at about 21:00 which was easier and better than trying to edit according to the notes. After the first couple minutes of that, you should have just kicked it back to me to get my act together. You were about at the end of that unedited section anyway. The rest was pretty clean, but I did find a few misreads that I corrected.

The shadow quotation from Shakespeare actually does appear twice under two different books. It threw me at first, too.

I knew there was a length limit for a section, around 70 minutes I thought. After editing, I was still over the 72 mark by about 30 seconds, so I tightened up some of the longer spacing, stilling a fraction of a second here and there, to shrink it down to 71:57. If it needs some more trimming, just let me know.

Sorry for making your job harder.
But, thanks so much of you support and encouragement.

~Larry

Thanks!

I was hoping the unedited part would end soon, so I kept going. Eh - we got in a 3-mile walk yesterday afternoon also, so it's not like I had anything else to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon!

Will PL starting around 21:00. Thanks for tightening it up to fit in the time constraint. That makes my moral dilemma disappear. ;)
