Hello Tricia,
I made the corrections as best I can. I have no idea how to correct or rerecord a section as you mentioned with my mispronunciation of cocoa. I tried to follow all of the other instructions. I resubmitted the work.

Thanks

Hmm. The volume is still about 13 dB too low, and the noise reduction appears to have not worked - it took the noise out of the silences, but it's still in your vocals, and parts of your vocals are missing.
This is why we want people to do the 1-minute test before investing so much time in a regular project. This can't be used the way it is, and I'm not sure how to fix it.
Would you please go here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test and follow the instructions to do the 1-minute test? Get all your settings - volume, noise, etc - worked out before recording "for real". Then if you feel up to it, come back here and re-record your selection with the settings correct to start.
P.S. Here's a video on editing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9NuSuWYaWg

Hello Tricia,
I need to add another chapter because my recording only came up to 26 mins after I did the edit.
I can do chapter4 or chapter 1 of no one else hasn't claimed those

The Library Assistant's Manual -
Very good! The only note is that there is only about 2 seconds of silence at the end; we use 5. Can you add another 3 seconds or so?
(If you're at all interested, in the last insomnia collection someone read the classification numbers of the Dewey Decimal System. Sections 5 and 6: https://librivox.org/insomnia-collection-vol-3/)

Hello again Tricia,
In the interests of redeeming my slouching self back into this collection, I am thinking of recording one or more selections from The Five Great Philosophies of Life, by William de Witt Hyde:

WDYT?
Thank you...LJB

Part Two, at last. The recording quality is not as good (I tried sitting back a bit from the mic. Not gonna do that again).pyledriver wrote: ↑June 17th, 2019, 12:44 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/ins004_shortlist1_spon_128kb.mp3

Thanks!
I assume that's 1 hr, 10 minutes and not 1 minute, 10 seconds. I'll get the seconds count when I PL.
