Snowball, by Poul Anderson (1926 - 2001).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/snowball-by-poul-william-anderson/
Simon's new source of power promised a new era for Mankind. But what happens to world economy when anyone can manufacture it in the kitchen oven?... Here's one answer! ([Transcriber's Note: This etext was produced from

the U.S. copyright on this publication was renewed.]) ( Realisticspeakers)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/59314
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

OK, your MW is ready for you! I see that this is your first solo project, very nice! I was wondering who was going to pick up this book, and I think this one will be fun. I think I will DPL it as well, just because I can! Alright, now for your homework. I need you to log into the workflow system for the first time, which is what we can the MW. Here is the link for the instructions to get into the MW and how to change your password. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kVj409nG_E0XJ5UrrcL7EVx7Qyx-2UQ7dbw4mINi3XQ If you have any problems, please let me know so that I can figure out what is going on. Usually it is as simple as using a different email address.

I have also given you 10 sections to start with, we can always add more or take away the leftovers if we need to.

Well 10 sections worked out perfectly. :birthday:

I counted words out of curiosity.

I should probably intro with "Section X" rather than Chapter X, as there are no chapters per se?

Wow, that was a good guess on my part! Sweet! What are you going to call each section?

ETA: OK, now I have read what else you have written. I think Section is much better than Chapter.

I don't know. I was thinking of Act 1 - Act 7?
but I'm really bad with Act Structures.

This is your first solo project, and there are a lot of things to remember to do. No worries, I was a new soloist at one point, I totally understand. :D
