I was just concerned that I may have to start from scratch. But I think you are saying that I can correct the bitrate without recording from scratch.
ah no ! definitely no re-recording. I can even correct the bitrate for you on my computer if you don't manage. Just let me know, it's just a matter of half a minute for me.

But do you have Audacity ? Then I can give you the step-by-step where to look and change the settings.

Yes, I use Audacity. I've downloaded checker and have used it in the past.
I see the issue with the bitrate. No idea why the settings changed, but I should be able to sort it in future.

Let me know what you need me to do.

Cheers

ok in Audacity, do the following to correctly change and set the bitrate:

open your file once again, then:

> go to File / Export Audio (as you always do at the end)
> open Options in the lower right corner (at least in my old version this is where it is)
> select the following settings: Bit Rate Mode: Constant / Quality: 128 kbps
> press Ok
> then export to mp3 as always

Now the settings should automatically be saved. I don't know why yours changed back to variable :hmm:

Let me know if it worked

PL NOTES:

SECTION 48

The Checker informs me that the bit rate is variable and it should be 128kbps fixed. That is all. Thanks!

just on a hunch that Craig may not have time these days to change his bitrate, I quickly reuploaded with the correct file name.

Section 48 is ready for Spot PL, so we can wrap this up :)

this took a bit, because it was so many sections, but the project is done :9:

This project is now complete! All audio files can now be found on the catalog page for this project https://librivox.org/the-worlds-best-poetry-volume-9-tragedy-and-humor-part-2-by-various/

I will move this project to Complete now...

Thank you to the whole team: Craig, Foon, Jason, Leanne, Tomas (and also me  ) for reading and Anthony for the wonderful PL jobs.

Now we take a small break, and you'll be kept in the loop when the next book is launched 8-)

On a sadder note, Leanne has mentioned to me that this will be her final participation to the project, due to other time-consuming commitments. She has participated in 5 of the 7 already recorded books and always did a great job. A special highlight for me was her guitar accompaniment to our Auld Lang Syne song. :9: Thank you Leanne, and if ever you change your mind, you'll be welcomed with open arms again. All the best for your future projects.
