Kathrinee - I'm horrified by the mistakes. But since they were all at the end, all I can think of is that I got interrupted while editing, and thought I finished when I really hadn't. I fixed them all, but the background noise is still unacceptable, and I don't know why. I ran it through the Noise Reduction. I will cheerfully record it again if you like. I don't know what else I can do.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/haworths_37_burnett_128kb.mp3 Checker says the length is 10:5. I assume they mean 10:05??

Chapter 39 is on its way!

Thank you for the edits! Not to worry, it happens. If it is any comfort, your file before editing sounds much smoother than my recordings before editing! :) I don't think re-recording is necessary at all. I'll listen later today or tomorrow

Wait! I fixed the background noise issue. Somehow one of my settings got changed. This version should be fine. Whew!

However, I now have a new problem. When I run it through Checker, I get a message that I've never seen before. It fails with the following message: "The name appears to include bit rate information (128kb), but standard names do not."

When I try to look at the help section, I can't find anything. Are you getting that problem on your end?

I noticed some early discussion on the pronunciation of Haworth. t's too late for this book, but another time volunteers might like to check out https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/pronunciation/english. It gives audio pronunciation (so much clearer than using letters!). And as a bonus, it has both British and American pronunciation (!). We Canadians can pick and choose between the two.

However, I have the same error message regarding the file name that I mentioned in my last post :(

That's actually nothing to worry about. It's just letting you know it's 128 kbps. That's all :D

LOL! I'm from Minnesota, so I can join in on that two types of pronunciation  Thank you for the guide though!

Uh oh. I screwed up and submitted a chapter with the incorrect file name. This is the correct name: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/haworths_49_burnett_128kb.mp3

I uploaded it a few weeks ago, but it had 39 in the file name instead of 49. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION!
