You were right, Campbell, about the beginning silence. I was aiming for it as a goal, it will be much easier to do it properly!

Thanks once again for all your help.

Nice job! All of these are ok! I loved your sing-songy voice on these, they were perfect. Seems like you have started to get your rhythm down, less notes each time :D

Thanks very much, Campbell!
I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Now, could I claim Sections 37 and 39?
Section 39 seems to be in a Middle-English Yorkshire dialect.
I'm comfortable giving this a try, unless you've got someone in mind who's good at this.
Anyway, I could have a go, and if you didn't think it quite worked, my feelings wouldn't be hurt if you said so.

It looks to me like section 39 was already claimed, but I gave you 37! 37 seems to be the one in the dialect. I am more than happy to let you give this a try, I have heard people just starting out with dialects that do just fine. However, if you do run into trouble, I will not be able to help as I do not know much about this. If you post in the 'Need Help? Got Advice?' forum you may be able to get an answer. In addition, if you start working, change your feelings, and decide it's too much, don't feel bad about letting it go. It is a lot. If you want to give it a try though, go for it, and I look forward to hearing it :D

Yes, you're correct and I made a mistake - I meant sections 35 and 37.
I will enjoy giving 37 a try!

Hi Rita! Nice recordings! I loved how adventuresome you were (like always)! I am very glad you decided to read for this project!

I have a few things to mention. You had some strange background noise this time, mainly when you talked. This makes it really hard to clean up. Did you change anything about your recording space? Were you near a fan or a heater? For section 11, it was ok, but for section 13 it was pretty loud. I am curious what this is. Do you have any ideas?

I also have a few textual notes. The first one I am really sorry for. It is on both recordings, including the last one that you read (section 17). The ending disclaimer is a bit off. Instead of saying 'end of poem', please say 'end of [poem title]', for example 'end of The Catholick'. For the sake of consistency it would be great if you changed that. I am very sorry that I did not catch that on the other recording. I was also used to that ending disclaimer and forgot that it was different here :(.

Section 11 notes - at the very end you can hear yourself click the button to stop the recording. For quality sake it is nice to edit that out.

Section 13 notes - 0:21 missing ‘shire’ in ‘Gloucestershire’

I sincerely apologize about missing the disclaimer in your last recording. It seems your PLer has failed you, and will have to revoke the status of PL OK :(. You have a lovely voice though, maybe that distracted me! Please make these edits and reupload, and I should not fail you again!

So for 11 and 17 I have to edit the disclaimer, and 13 I should redo entirely making sure to say shire and changing the disclaimer and making sure whatever extra noise there is - probably my humidifer, is not there. And the click shouldn't be audible in 11. ? :D

Sounds good to me. I am very sorry about having to redo 13. I just can't think of any way to get rid of that noise without making your voice sound all muddled. And sounds like you know what caused it, which is good! And the click in 11 should be easy to edit out. Thanks so much for all of this, hopefully now that this is figured out you should have no problems in the future!
