Hi! I apologize for this late reply. My laptop's been seriously acting up.
I will re-record this selection today, after I buy a new laptop.
My name "Marie Cox" would be fine for the catalog page.
Thanks,
Marie
Hi Marie,
Welcome to Librivox! What name would you like to use for your catalog page? It can be your real name, forum name, or a pseudonym ~ whatever you prefer! We can also link to a personal website or blog.
You did a nice job. There are a couple of things that do need to be fixed.
First the volume is a tad on the high side. If you could bring it down about 3DB that would be great! If you are using audacity, select the entire file, go to effects > amplify, and then slide the little bar to the left, into the negative range.
Also at the end it should say "End of How the Indians Learned to Heal, by Mabel Powers". There are also a couple of very loud clicks or knocks in the silence after the outro that should be deleted.
If you could make these edits, and then re-upload the file with the same name as before that would be great!

For the catalog, my name Marie Cox may be used. Thanks for your patience.

Nice job and it is PL OK! However, I do think it is a bit too dark for the children's collection, so I am going to send it over the the Short Story Collection instead. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=75224&start=15
I'll change the file name and such for you so you won't have to worry about anything!
I thought it was fine for this collection until the cannibalism hit!
Hehe. Many thanks. Some of these old ones I don't know where to put. My mother never got over The Red Shoes.m8b1 wrote: ↑June 18th, 2019, 7:23 amHi Liam, liamborg wrote: ↑June 18th, 2019, 5:55 am • https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw028_thefiend_ljb_128kb.mp3

Thanks for understanding! I read some pretty strange fairy/folk tales myself growing up, but I don't think I ever came across this one before! It was interesting!Hehe. Many thanks. Some of these old ones I don't know where to put. My mother never got over The Red Shoes.
How would I record intro for a work edited by another author? Looking to do "The Golden Goose” by Grimm’s Fairy Tales, edited by Hamilton Wright Mabie:

I would do it this way:
"The Golden Goose, from Grimm's Fairy Tales, edited by Hamilton Wright Mabie" "This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox Recordings are in the public domain. For more information or to volunteer, please visit Librivox.org"

OOPS,
I just realized I forgot to add the upload url. I just finished the solo book, and have to relearn how to do the other kind.
So,
Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/5796/pg5796-images.html
Upload: https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw028_stonecutter_wc_128kb.mp3
