Yes, I'm MC on this project, as per my initials in the thread title and the upload instructions in the first post. :)

Linny will need the run time, please. (minutes:seconds). Thanks!

Hi Jim,
Tricia is our MC for this project. You will always find the name of the MC on the first post by the link to upload.

Your submitted sections are for me, your BC, to contend with. I'll PL for you soon.

Hi Jim,
Lovely work. Thank you. There are a couple of easy PL notes for section 3.

Section 3 PL Notes
0:09 please delete by various

0:35 please add part number – December 1, 1879, part 1

As Tricia stated in her message, please do get in the habit of posting the file length with your links. Since I’m the BC (book coordinator) and the PL (proof listener) it’s not as important on this project since I’ll be downloading your file anyway. For other projects it is important.

Again, great job. Thank you.

Linny -

I want to make sure I'm not losing my mind - did the title of this work change after I signed up for it? Initially it was State of the Union Addresses 1877-1884 - but the text now has sections all the way to 2006 and I've seen the title as State of the Union Addresses 1877-2006 and State of the Union Addresses 1877-Present. What should I be using for the final recording? Please advise.

I will make the changes you posted as well. Thanx.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for checking! Things can seem all mixed up. Don't worry it will soon become second nature. This one is especially strange. In an effort to keep the run times to 400-600 minutes, this one book has been broken up into 27 projects.

For the intro, ending, and file name always check just below the MW (magic window, that grid with all the claims in it). In this case the intro should be:

"Section[number] of State of the Union Addresses by United States Presidents (1877-1884). This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say:
"[Section title: President, date of address, and if applicable, part number]"

Tricia,
1869-1876 is being cataloged. With this project fully subscribed and 50% complete I would normally launch the next one. With the March cleanup underway I'm not certain what to do. What do recommend?

You could probably launch the next one. Your readers are enthusiastic, and you don't want to lose them - unless they are reading for March cleanup projects. ;)

Tricia,
Thank you! I'll probably start it tomorrow. I still need to do the section breakdowns. President Cleveland was a talker!

I was hoping since the overall project is almost 3 years old now that folks would be forgiving of my starting it during the cleanup month. Thank you for confirming. :9:
