some of these words were regular tongue-twisters and I think you plodded bravely through them All sounds good to me, and interesting story, though their life-style seems a bit rough to me.
thank you, Jim, all PL ok

and these are also all PL ok. Aha, so Kümmernis was the bearded woman. I actually already heard about this "divine help" to prevent an unwanted marriage but I didn't remember the girl's name. Although, maybe the beard was a way out for several saints.
Interesting sections, thanks Nemo !

and here is another one for you to listen to, Jim An excerpt from the wonderful Kalevala. I already participated in a group project of the epic a while ago and read several sections, though not this one. I grew to love the melodic rhythm of this poem.

Really interesting, but also strange, especially the end with the hornet and the poisons and the results therefrom. Excellently done. And so PL OK.
yes the supernatural is often present in the Kalevala, it's stories about gods and demons very often. A bit like the Greek mythology. Thank you for the PLing, Jim.
@ Alan: thanks for the section, will PL soon !

well done, Alan, totally PL ok. I found the poem itself was disappointingly short somehow. I was expecting a longer description of the fair at least 3 or 4 stanzas more. But at least the introduction was really interesting to listen to.
thanks

I hope for the sake of the children that this priest who is walking over them is not a fat guy. I wonder how many broken ribs come out of this ceremony.

Section 101 for PL!
thank you, Nemo...oooh the story started out quite like a Halloween tale I only imagine seeing this army pass by me at night. Quite a gothic atmosphere.
Excellent narration and totally PL ok.

Here is Section 12:
thank you for the PL and wow this section was interesting. I knew about Boris Godunov and the assassination of young Dimitry, but I didn't know about those impostors. I checked it up on wikipedia, no less than 4 pretenders rose up to claim they were the young Dimitry, having escaped the previous assassination. And some of them even rules a few months before being found out. Apparently that's when the Russians coined the phrase "he's a false Dimitry".
Totally PL ok and very interesting. Thank you !
