Brisk is such a braggart. And basically the gist of his lengthy narrative of the duel is that he didn't once hurt his opponent but his own clothes got shredded in the process. excellent job, Brad, and totally PL ok.
Hamlet wrote:Even though the puffs were my idea I realized that puffing on a pipe generally makes no sound at all. Nevertheless, I briefly inhaled audibly and inserted the sound into the file. I'll admit I cheated a little bit. I only puffed once, but cut and pasted it into all the gaps. If you'd like each puff to sound differently I can do it again.
no it's fine, even though in some parts it sounds a bit often  nobody is inhaling that much I think. But Todd can cut one or two to make it more credible maybe. You're right, one is probably more "smacking" on a pipe, but it's fine. Who know how Brisk is smoking his pipe, do we even want to imagine this ?
As for the humming, I got a little creative here, and once again I can redo it if it does meet with your approval. In each instance, I briefly hummed a familiar piece of classical music. But rather anachronistically, since they were all composed well after the play was written!
hmmm, yes, this is not really what I had in mind, I don't think he really needs to hum a whole tune, but just a short snippet would have sufficed. Maybe also nothing famous, especially if it's not of the period ;)

I let Todd decide on this: could you check from 7:45 to 8:15, please ? Maybe some snippet of the tune can be used, cutting it a bit shorter ?

Let's wait for the final editor's decision, Brad :)

thanks !

Mitis act 3

I enjoyed that part even though he is a pernickety old codger.

 well you're doing well at pernickety, it seems, I highly enjoyed the performance, even though I must admit he sometimes lost me...I guess it will become clearer if I hear it all in context later on assembled.

This act is PL ok as well. you can store away your Mitis garb for now...

Thanks, Alan !

This one took me a little while - you know I have to read the whole play before I do my lines! It was a surprisingly tough one. But, I loved my character! Here is Fungoso for all his acts.

Act 2 - https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/outofhumour_fungoso_2_128kb.mp3
Act 3 - https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/outofhumour_fungoso_3_128kb.mp3
Act 4 - https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/outofhumour_fungoso_4_128kb.mp3
Act 5 - https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/outofhumour_fungoso_5_128kb.mp3

Can't wait to hear the whole thing put together!

hey Aaron, you're brilliant as my brother ! (I play Fallace)

he is such a fop and dandy  I extremely loved the character and voice you gave him :9: His despair at every new suit was really pathetic  Reading through the entire play really paid off

Acts 2, 4 and 5 are already PL ok

I have one small correction to note for Act 3:

> at 0:25: “such stuff, such a wing, such a sleeve, - you say “wig” but there is no wig in a suit, so this doesn’t fit here into the instructions to his tailor ;)

the rest is perfect. Only one proposal for future recordings: please don't forget to also leave enough editing space when the stage directions cut into your speech. In a few places here you did not leave too much. It's ok here, no need to change, but just something to consider for the next plays. Anything to make our editor's job easier :)

Thanks for this excellent performance and I hope I hear you soon in another play. :9:

you're a wonderful doting husband, as it should be. And I actually find it highly appropriate that Deliro would double as the prologue somehow, those two characters fit well together. Good choice.

I did not like your attitude towards Fallace in the end though. Seriously, mind your language ! And the situation wasn't at all what it looked like, I swear. You really should trust your faultless wife a bit more...

Still...all acts PL ok, so for once in his life, Deliro managed to please Fallace at the first go

Thanks !
