Thanks ellies. All you need to do is to delete the stumble - "and the cabbie" - at 1:01 and upload the corrected file.

Best,

Barbara

Hi Carolin,
As requested I have submitted my 1-minute test. https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_philip_lawrence_your_short_story_teller.mp3
I hope all's well with it. I'm looking forward to the verdict :)
Best

Would love to take on some verses here to start me back in at Librivox :) It's been such a while. Will be fishing my mic out in the next week but thought I might like to take on:

TROUBLE ON THE SELECTION

Great to have you back

It may be a good idea to do the one minute test before getting started. You probably had to reinstall audacity and then it is always good to make sure that that went well :)

All PL OK!

The bullockies steered for the bar of the inn.
Then slowly we crawled by the trees that kept tally
Of miles that were passed on the long journey down.
We saw the wild beauty of Capertee Valley,

My grandmother used to talk me to sleep when I was very young with tales of her bush girlhood (1890s to about 1908). That coaching inn in the Capertee Valley, on the Mudgee Road, was her grandfather's - James Shervey's (though she spoke of it as her grandmother's).

Best,

Barbara
