Please review the audio recording for Section 18: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/sonatfront_18_wharton_128kb.mp3 Time 12:38
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind regards,
Chad
I did notice the volume starting slightly low and later coming to good levels. Just mentioning it as something to look out for in future recordings.
Congrats on your first ever Librivox recording!rmcguire wrote: ↑March 23rd, 2019, 12:17 pm Hi everyone,
Here is Chapter 32/XXXII: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/sonatfront_32_wharton_128kb.mp3. The duration is 14:38.
As this is my first ever recording, I welcome any advice or feedback on how to improve (or errors I can fix in this particular recording).
I'd also like to claim more sections, if I could: could I do sections 33, 34, and 35? Thanks everyone!
No errors, it's perfectly PL OK (which means Proof-Listened, checked, and ready to be catalogued)
You have clear diction, comfortable reading pace, everything is great!
Thanks so much for the feedback & kind words, Rapunzelina! Much appreciated.
Here is Chapter 33/XXXIII:https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/sonatfront_33_wharton_128kb.mp3. Total time is 19:51. Thank you everyone.

Sure I'll take 36! And I'll take 31, as well (exciting that it's almost all assigned!)
Thank you very much! I know my French pronunciation is suspect at best, but the book has been a lot of fun to read/recordRapunzelina wrote: ↑March 25th, 2019, 11:58 amChapter 33 is PL OK! Hi Chad! I listened for about 5 minutes, but because there were a few longer pauses and stumbles, I think this is the unedited recording.
So check it out, and upload an edited version.
Regarding the volume, you can again see that in the beginning the volume starts lower, and then gradually the wave-form peaks higher and ends up having clipping (when the volume is higher than the system can process, so it gets clipped; visually it's the peaks in the wave line that go all the way up/down, and would go beyond that if they could. But they can't, they get clipped, and that sometimes creates sound distortion).
I don't know why it starts so low though. I've only seen it in these last two recordings. So if you can think of the cause, maybe you can avoid it in the future.

I would like to claim section 28. This will be my first recording. I can be referred to as "Jeff Mattison" in credits. Currently, no blog or website for further reference. I'll follow all the guidelines for first recorders.
