Владислав Ходасевич (1886 - 1839), Стихи и Переводы .

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/poetry-by-vladislav-khodasevich/

Vladislav Khodasevich (1886 - 1939) was a Russian poet and literary critic. His father was a Polish nobleman, and his mother was of Jewish descent whose family had converted to Christianity and gave her a Catholic upbringing. This audiobook presents both Khodasevich's original poetry (A Hefty Lyre collection) and translations from Hebrew poets.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Mark,

I'd be happy to MC this for you.

I don't read Russian, so can you explain the two texts you plan to read from? How are they related to each other? (That helps me label them correctly on the catalog page.)

Thanks.
MaryAnn

Thank you, MaryAnn, and Happy New Year!
These are two books by the same author, one is his own poetry, the other is translations. I just thought it would be more expedient and less work for everyone than doing two very short books, I did it before, and Ava did not mind:

However if you don't think it is a good idea, I'd be happy to separate them, no problem :-)

Thank you, Gingema! I will PM you when we get there.
MaryAnn, Gingema is volunteering for sec.5, 7, and 8... I don't know if that entitles her for the MW access :hmm:
