A nice mixure of prose and poetry.

Well read. Only a few minor errors noted.

18:04-1820 This “ease” or naturalness, in a literary style, it has long been the fashion to regard as ease in appearance alone—as a point of really difficult attainment. Repetition here

33:08 Fresh as the first beam glittering on a sail, (you read soil) at least that's what I heard
That brings our friends up from the underworld,
Sad as the last which reddens over one
That sinks with all we love below the verge;
So sad, so fresh, the days that are no more.

34:50-35:16 We shall reach, however, more immediately a distinct conception of what the true Poetry is, by mere reference to a few of the simple elements which induce in the Poet himself the poetical - Repetition here

Hi Craig,

Thanks for continuing to record the works of Kierkegaard for the SNF.

This was, for me, one of the most interesting short selections from Kierkegaard's writings that I have PL'd for you. His description of what it is like to put aside pleasant daydreaming and confront the "down and dirty" of daily life is classic!

"And now that I am to work in the present moment I find that there will be not a few persons whom I must oblige by paying my respects to all the insignificant things which mediocrity with great self-importance will lecture about..."

Thanks Sue. I was thinking of opening the whole book up for a project but have read so much in that it might be too much. Short doses of Kierkegaard seem best to me.
