Indeed it does. You move between languages more readily than I ever will. You are fearless!

Hi Pam,
Section 14 is PL OK. The skulduggery is really something else.

Hi Pam,
Section 15 is PL OK.
I looked on Wikipedia (!) to see if anybody has educated guesses about what he contracted or otherwise suffered from on the campaign. It says the original DNB entry (back when Leslie Stephen was editor!) cites a 14th- and 15th-century chronicler who says it might have been poison. I think the short version is that we'll never know!

If you put a gun to my head, I would say TB.
Other possibilities are endocrine disorder,
other chronic infections (malaria, brucellosis), autoimmune condition.
Thanks!

That's interesting, though I can only imagine how vague some of the symptoms must sound to you at this remove.
There was an interesting piece on his reputation - essentially it says that one modern conception of him comes from almost entirely from Froissart, and it's pretty much a hit job. Froissart's figures for those killed in the sack of Limoges are apparently way, way too high and have unfairly coloured Edward's image.

Nothing I do, or find in any archive, ever, is going to get BBC coverage!
