Just to give a final update and reasoning: The consensus is that there's no harm in waiting 3 weeks to launch 1923 projects, but there may be harm in launching them early. We're on Archive's servers as their guest, if we set up projects early, they will be searchable in the catalog (advertising that people may be recording them early), etc.

Bottom line: We're going to stay bleach-white on this one. See you in 21 days! 8-)

So it's for real! Thanks everybody for steering me clear of any legal issues, and as soon as I get my voice back I can begin to record for real. Meanwhile I will get the MW set up today! Thanks for your prompt attention to this, Phil, and Happy New Year to all.

It appears The Prophet is the first 1923 book already posted to PG!

WOW! I'm not surprised it's on Gutenberg already. Thanks for that intel. Not sure what PG is, though.

Sorry, I produce a number of books through Distributed Proofreaders (DP) and submitted to Project Gutenberg (PG). I sometime forget others may not know the acronyms.

Question for you, Phil. As so many of these chapters are under 300 words (like 2 minutes), may I put the disclaimer at the end rather than at the beginning, as we do for our weekly and fortnightly poems? They are considered "poetic prose". Thus, each chapter would begin (example):

Chapter 3 of The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, on Marriage (read the poem). End of Chapter 3, read by Michele Fry, Baton Rouge, Louisiana in January 2019. This librivox recording is in the public domain.

The more I think about the project, it would be really great if people could dial up just the chapter that interests them without having to try and find its place in a larger audio file.

If this is okay, I'll reorganize the MW today.

Michele. I just returned from a trip to Austin and will respond when I have time to think about this. Remind me if it goes more than a day

About the disclaimer, I think that would work fine. You will be naming the sections from the highlighted words, right?
the disclaimer could be at the end as in poetry.

Okay, Phil.
I think I've got the MW organized. One question. Is there a way to fill in the soloist's name in the MW only once instead of every time?

Sure. Just put in the section numbers one claims. like 1-10 and dat's it.

Michele,
The first two sections are PL OK.
Your pacing is especially good here; it's clear and easy to understand.

As always, I look forward to hearing more from you.
