Is it just me, or is Project Gutenberg down a lot these days? I just now tried to get section 39 to read, but the site's unavailable... sigh.

I was on PG quite a bit this afternoon, and pages were loading fine. Maybe it's just a temporary thing.

I will help with 40. :) I didn't realize there were more needed still, I thought we were just short one last last week when I volunteered.

40 - Chapter III-X: The Substance of the Shadow [AVAILABLE]

Please let me know so I can begin if it's still needed.

Thank you,

Lythia

Hello - I've just sent you 16 - II-X - Two Promises.

http://s28.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=36D5CANPYRB4X09GBLETL5Z25J

Unfortunately, either my ibook or yousendit changes the end of the file name during the upload if the name is too long. Please rename the file to:

tale_of_two_cities_16_dickens.mp3

Thanks!

Hi to Lythia,
I see you haven't had a response to your volunteering for chapter 40. This book was taken over to the Orphaned chapters on the Readers Wanted Forum, where I too volunteered for 40. Ah! Dickens! But since you're available for it this weekend, and I'm busy with a previous commitment and wouldn't be able to read till later, it's better that you take it.
And if you've changed your mind, just let me know.
Thanks!

Hi, Lythia--

I volunteered for Chapter 40 also, but suggested to wolvrin that he let Anita have it since we both claimed it about the same time. I've already volunteered for three chapters on another project, so why don't you take it. PM wolvrin directly if you're not sure.

Have a good reading.

Wolvrin,

I previously recorded 2 chapters: Book 1, Chapter 5-The Wine-shop
and Book 3, Chapter 1-In Secret

They were accidently recorded at 48000khz. So, I have fixed them and are resending them to you at 44100. Sorry for the inconvenience

I will send them to you shortly.

Oh hello Michael and a.r.dobbs,

I only volunteered for 40 because it was the last unclaimed chapter on the first page. I'd much rather have someone else do that chapter if anyone else is interested.

Therefore I think I will decline now that I know it has been called upon, but it was not reflected on the first post, which caused my confusion.

Thank you both for the kind offer. Very much appreciated!

Best Regards,

Lythia
