58 and 59 also uploaded.
59 is the longest so far, I think. But I find Wells' ideas regarding modern times brilliant!

Section 56 is PL OK.

These suggested corrections are entirely optional. They would be a courtesy to listeners and remove a slightly comic effect caused by the mispronunciations.

Section 57 at 7:56 and 8:12, "conspicuous" should be pronounced https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/conspicuous

Section 58 at 5:06 - 5:08, "ploughed," which occurs twice, should be pronounced like this https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/plough with the d sound added simply to the end so that the word rhymes with "cloud https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/cloud ."

Section 59 is PL OK.

I have the remaining files and will proof them over the weekend.

A word search of the text revealed that the word "conspicuous" has appeared several times before, but I never noticed it being mispronounced. If you would like me to check back through the files for it, I will. :)

Thank you! I will make the corrections. Now I wonder how did I manage to pronounce "conspicuous" in ch 57. I have been known to pronounce the same word correctly one time and completely off the other time, even in one and the same sentence. :D "Boughs" I struggle with always, and - yes - "ploughs" as well... and some others. :)

Sections 63 through 68 are PL OK. I started in with 68 and wasn't bored at all--humbled by how many important things I've never fixed the dates of in my mind. This has been a fabulous project I'll want to listen to over and over.

Courageous of you to record a whole, lengthy book in a language you weren't born speaking. I wouldn't attempt it even in French in which I did my bachelor's degree and lived in the country for two years.

Thank you so much for all your support and help during this project!!! :9:
It was not easy, but I sure enjoyed it. Wells has some very sound and interesting ideas about what is truly important in the world history.

I have corrected chapters 57 and 58 and re-uploaded for checking!
