Betty,
Sections 1 and 2 are PL OK. I'm so glad I don't eat much meat and when I do it comes from the grocery store under cellophane. (When selecting poultry, make sure the legs are pliable) :shock:

Section 3
0:21 "The Cooking Manual of Practical Directions for Economical Every-Day Cookery, by Juliet Corson
I hear Cooking

Section 4 is PL OK.

Betty

Yes "pliable legs" gave me a visual I didn't want!

Betty,
Sections 9 and 10 are both PL OK.

Section 15
13:30 - "End of The Cooking Manual of Practical Directions for Economical Every-Day Cookery, by Juliet Corson. "
I hear Julia

I wonder how horrified these folks with their salt spoons and sugar spoons would be to see me eat yogurt directly from the contain I purchased at the store? I am so uncivilized. :mrgreen:

JayKitty,
I listened to section 13 for you. Please don’t be overwhelmed or upset by this list. You did a nice job and there were only a few reading/editing errors. The list is long because you have skipped the topic numbers which are included in other readings. I’ve listed the timestamps for you. In order to best use the timestamps you might consider making your corrects beginning at the end of the recording. Please ask if you have any questions.

0:23 – The chapter # is recorded here. The initial post indicates the chapter title. In order to be consistent with other readers, please delete Chapter 12
3:08 – slight stumble – from slow starvation.
3:38 - 206 Oatmeal Porridge
4:21 - 207. A good Breakfast
4:27 - 208. Stewed Fruit.
4:45 - 209. Ripe Currants
4:55 - 210. Blackberry Jam.
5:16 - 211. Baked Fruit
5:34 - 212. Broiled Chops.
5:54 - 213. Beefsteak.
6:16 - 214. Broiled Chicken.
6:23 – stumbles - It should be plucked, singed, split down the back, carefully drawn, and wiped with a damp cloth, but not washed;
7:00 - 215. Boiled Eggs.
7:41 - 216. Baked Potatoes.
8:07 - 217. Boiled Potatoes.
8:42 - 218. Apple Cake.
9:01 repeat – and put a few bits of butter on it;
9:07 - 219. Fruit Farina.
9:14 stumble - in order to prevent burning;
9:31 - 220. Plain Cookies
9:57 - 221. Plain Gingerbread.
10:18 - 222. Strawberry Shortcake.
10:24 repeat - mix it stiff enough to mould with about half a pint of milk;
11:01 - 223. Apple Custard.
Please noise clean the section.

Thank you, Linny, for your PL notes.
I have some trouble with stuttering when I read aloud, and for some reason this chapter was especially difficult for me, so I had to go back and edit it multiple times, but I guess I missed some parts. I'm not upset by the PL notes- they are simple, easy fixes :thumbs: I'll fix it up and noise clean it today, if possible, (I've been pretty busy) but if I can't get to it today I'll fix it definitely in the next few days :)

Thanks again :thumbs:

Hey Carolin,

I have a question. Should I say Section Zero of The Cooking Manual. This is a LibriVox recording. or Preface of The Cooking Manual. This is a LibriVox recording.?

Thanks so much
Thanks, SaraHale. :D
