Thank for the quick response. I would think that the rules on reading PD texts are more concerned with not reading things that are not in the text rather than insisting on every words being read. After all Librivox recordings do not always include footnotes and Dramatic Works do not always include all the Stage Directions or Scenic descriptions. I once read a selection of poems from a printed set and that was accepted. This so called monologue is not actually a monologue anyway as it includes other dialogue which has been crossed out.

The monologue was very nicely read, I hope you find more things to record
However there are multiple things that need fixing. Some of these are the same things that Kitty noted in her response to your 1 minute test, and I noticed that you did not respond to her on those, so I would suggest going back to that thread and fixing those items as they pop up here as well such as the recording is in Stereo instead of Mono and the volume is too loud and needs to come down by about -3 dbs.
Please also make sure you take a look at the recording instructions each time you do a project. While some things are the same for every LV recording, often projects have specific things to just them. You can find them in item #5 in the instructions.
For this recording in addition to what I noted above, the beginning silence, ending silence and the end of the recording need fixing -
The beginning needs to be between 0.5-1.0 seconds and this is 2.0 seconds
The ending needs to be 5.0 seconds and this is 10.0 seconds
There needs to be a LV disclaimer at the end of the recording as well that is missing here .... At the end of the section, say: "End of [Title of Monologue] from [Play title, act, scene]. This recording is in the public domain"
These are all just technical things and once you do them a few times they become second nature, so no worries. Please make the needed adjustments (which can all be corrected in your original file, so no need to record again!),make sure you save the changes and upload the revised file again so i can take a listen.
Thanks!

Hi alan, it is the same, really, to add things to the text that werent there as to omit things that were. I agree that you might argue that this isnt really a monologue with so many interruptions. But im afraid i do have to insist on including all parts of the piece said by this character. You can choose if you want to read the parts of the other characters in other voices yo make this piece intelligible, or just trust the listener to go to the source text if they are confused. Sorry for the bother, but i really dont think we will get around this.alanmapstone wrote: ↑December 15th, 2018, 4:03 amThank for the quick response. Hi,
I know this wasn't listed in the first post, but could I please request an extension? I've been super busy lately.
If this doesn't work, that's okay, and I'll do my best to squeeze my edits in tomorrow
