Christina, please always post the length of the file. I need it to make sure that everything has arrived on our server.

Thank you Lynda!

I know we can both find out how much it is, but it's a good idea for the reader to getting used to including it.

Hi Christina -

Here is your feedback on Section 15

First, your reading was PERFECT! Very well done! There are just a few technical issues that will apply to all recordings that you will do that need to be fixed -

1. You need to increase the volume of your recording please - the volume falls outside of the target range (86–92 dB) at 81.7 dB. We aim for 89 dB which is the middle of the range. Please let me know if you need any additional help increasing the volume. Basically, you need in Audacity you increase volume through Effect > Amplify. Enter about 7 dB to get you to 89 dB.
2. Please reduce the silence at the beginning of your recording - on recordings we aim for .5 to 1 second of silence.
3. Please reduce the silence at the end of the recording to 5 seconds.

Now record the time at the end of the recording, export the file and upload it just the same way you did last time and post the link and time (length).

They are all yours, thank you very much - have fun! The "note" linked in the MW for the first two sections tells you where to split the chapter.

Christina, this is a very good beginning, with no errors whatsoever! Please make those corrections and upload the fixed file.
Cheers, Ava.

Hi there and welcome to LV and to this project!

Good start with the test, but please post it once more over in the "Listeners and Editors Wanted" forum (I cannot check tests here).

I will assign the section to you once the test is [OK]ed, in the meanwhile you can come up with a catalog name for yourself. This can be your real name, the forum name you have now... If you want to say any name in the recording, this would be a good choice for a catalog name so that listeners can find you.
We can also link to a website if you want.

Have fun on here! :D

HI Matthew, welcome to LV and to this project!

I see you have already handed in your test, well done! Please wait with recording "for real" until you get an [OK] on your test. I'm happy to assign section 35 to you, but I need to know what you'd like to have as a catalog name. Matthew is fine, your full name, your forum name... We're pretty flexible with that, really. :D

Have fun on here! :D

Section 35 is complete. It's my first (non-test) recording, so any feedback is welcome!

If the recording is usable, I can raise my hand for another one. Looks like sec. 25 is the next one that hasn't been spoken for. Will wait for a green light!
