[COMPLETE]A Multilingual Rubaiyat - kit
I just plodded through it all and once I got the hang of how to pronounce some letters I really understood most of it. A few words are even exactly pronounced like Luxembourgish so funny.Foon wrote: ↑October 31st, 2018, 4:49 am Here's the Dutch one:

celle-là est longue, comparée à nous autres. Merci Christiane ! Je vais l'écouter ce weekend probablement, mais déjà je suis en retard avec tous mes DPL jobs.

thank you Kendal and wow, you were racing fast through the whole poem And the text script was so hard to read, so this was a bit difficult for me to follow (but I managed). I guess for native speakers it's easier to understand.KendalRigans wrote: ↑October 31st, 2018, 8:25 pm Here is my recording in spanish

You were the first to include all the stanza numbers, the others I listened to didn't read them. But I guess since they are there, they can be included. Nothing to change there.
I found two textual errrors though that I think are changing the meaning, could you correct those two please:
> at 9:38: (section XLIV) "la horda infiel" - you say "final"
> at 10:10: (section XLVII) "y si el vino que bebes" - you say "viento"
thank you
now I need a rest from the Rubaiyat. I got an overdose these last two days

Reading is now PL OK.
I look forward to hearing the version by Angeli. (Diego? I wonder if the translator really was Italian.)
Cheers

Yes, Diego Angeli was an Italian journalist, writer and art critic, who died almost a hundred years ago.
At reading I preferred to read the version of Angeli compared to that of Chini,
and I think the translate version of Angeli it is slightly easier for the listener to understand the content of the book

I'm always available for other reading proposals.
Thanks and good listening!

Algy, don't worry, I will PL Christiane's French section tomorrow. I have quite a bit of a backlog right now but tomorrow I will take some time to do it. I think that is the last section I have to PL in this project, if I'm not mistaken.
Sonia
Yes Sonia - I will PL the three Fitzgerald recordings.
I have prepared a cover image for this project.
