Matt Harvey? With so many fans screaming for better pitching, I wonder at this choice. :hmm: But then, it is baseball, we might have gotten us a great catch!

If history is any guide, Harvey should go on to greatness. The Mets gave up on Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver among others. Need I go on? :)

Here's 22.

I was talking to one of my kids earlier, and he reminded me that we saw him pitch when we went to watch the Reds play the Cubs in June. That was a good game! Reds beat the Cubs, and went on a 6 game winning streak. I hope he is a good fit for the Angels, we could use some consistent pitching.

Chapters 20 and 21 are PL OK!

Here are 23 & 24.

23 seems to have come out of left field, so different from all that precedes it. Lots here for a reader to ham up, which I think I've probably done. But it was kinda fun doing it. :?

It was nice getting a thank you note even though there wasn't a name attached. I took another look at that author on PG but didn't see anything else of his that I'd want to do.

A belated Merry Christmas, Ann. I hope it's been a fun day for you and your family.

Chapters 22 and 23 are PL OK! I will listen to 24 as soon as I can. Oh my, though, what a change of story, I can't wait to see where this is going!

I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas as well!

23 looks to be a one off piece of writing. The name Billy is always In quotes, which leads me to believe that the author is riffing on an actual evangelist of the day, Billy Sunday. (Too early historically for Billy Graham.)

Chapters 25, 26 and 27 are PL OK! This story is so funny!

Here is a post in Book Suggestions that has a list of 1923 books. viewtopic.php?p=1538578#p1538578 They are not the popular ones, but some good ones nonetheless! Some have already been adopted.

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/fresh-every-hour-by-john-peter-toohey/

Great job, Lee!

Just as a warning, just until the cover is uploaded. There are a few stray files on the archive page, it happens every so often but it will fix itself when the cover is added to the page. I just didn't want you to get concerned about it, it seems to be the normal for the time being.

Off to Norway!
