Hoping to be able to get another recorded. Love this project!
Thank you, Gillian! I love this classic, and it is beautifully sung!
Just one thing to ask of you, before I mark this PL OK. Could you post a link to your source, so I can put it into the metadata?

I look forward to hearing another carol from you whenever you get around to it!

Also, Tricia, the Checker flagged the file name for using upper-case letters. Does Gillian need to re-upload the file to fix this, or is it something that can be done by one of us?

On a project like this, the file names should be correct. I could fix it during cataloging, but my eyes are getting older, and I might miss something. :)

I've fixed it in the uploader using an FTP program. The link is now https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/ccc18_ocomeocomeemmanuel_gh_128kb.mp3

Gillian - FYI, in future, all file names should always be lower case. :)

Thank you, Robin! This is PL OK! And a beautiful addition to the collection. (I don't know Greek, but it meets all tech specs, and sounds fantastic!)

Tricia, there wasn't room in the metadata to put in both sources (text and music), so I put in the text source. The author Cosmas of Maiuma doesn't seem to be in the catalog. Could he be added? Robin gave his Wikipedia link above.

I couldn't find who composed the First Noel. It's apparently a traditional song of Cornish origin according to Google, so I'm not sure what to say for the opening ("The First Noel, by ___, sung in English"). Any advice? :hmm:

In that case "The First Noel, trad. Cornish".

Thank you, JayKitty! This recording is 100% PL OK! Was this your first singing contribution to LV? It was beautifully done!

Yahoo! No, I submitted one for Twinkle88's Silent Night project, too. But technically, it was my first 'solo' song...thank you for the encouragement!
