No problem. Thanks for pointing it out. A revised Act I is already up.alanmapstone wrote: ↑June 16th, 2020, 12:06 pmHi Marksjmarky wrote: ↑June 16th, 2020, 9:48 am I do apologize - it was an editing error. Another character (the Duke) read the same passage and I inserted the wrong one. No offense or comment on your performance was intended. I am re-editing Act I right now based on this and other comments and I'll have a cleaner version for PL shortly.
Checking back to the Gutenberg text I can see how it could be misinterpreted as saying that all 5 characters should do all the lines of the song. Perhaps that is why Todd read all the lines and not just the refrain.
Thanks. It is difficult to edit these dramatic works, I tried it once and gave up.

PL notes for act 1
There are only 2 places where a little editing may be needed
about 43:20 there is a short bit a background womans voice behind don Alambra
And at 45:46 there's an extra repeat of tis a glorious thing to be a royal queen.
Neither of them are earth-shattering.
It all sounds great.
Anne
Of course I won't be able to stop singing it for days

I made the edit at 43:20, but there is a repeat of the Queen chorus before the stage direction, so I left that in.
This is my first time editing a play, and overall it's not been too terrible. Now I've been through it once, I think Act II will be a breeze (about 1/3 done at this point).

Many thanks to Annise and Mark for finishing this
It is nice to think that Beth's hard work will end up in the catalogue
