Rational Theology and Christian Philosophy volume 1 by John Tulloch (1823 - 1886).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/rational-theology-and-christian-philosophy-volume-1-by-john-tulloch/
This work addresses the birth and development of a rationalist stream in the Christianity of England in the seventeenth century. In this volume, Tulloch focuses on five latitudinarian churchmen, examining their lives and thought. ( Barry Ganong)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://books.google.com/books?id=AFArAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=editions:aT0BqSw3Vn0C&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjYxczliujdAhXCxFkKHe8KBro4ChDoAQg9MAQ#v=onepage&q&f;=false
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

This is set up.

I'm trying to think of a good way to shorten the file name. How about one of these?

rationaltheology1_##_tulloch_128kb
christianphilosophy1_##_tulloch_128kb
rationaltheologychristianphilosophy1_##_tulloch_128kb

or something else?

I think the first will be fine – short is good.

I hope it's okay if I alter the intros slightly. My plan is for the first section (Preface) to include the full title:

"Section one of Rational Theology and Christian Philosophy in England in the Seventeenth Century, volume 1, by John Tulloch. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org. Rational Theology and Christian Philosophy, volume 1, by John Tulloch. Preface."

Second and subsequent intros will use brief title and continue to identify by "section", as:

"Section two of Rational Theology and Christian Philosophy, by John Tulloch. This LibriVox recording is in the public domain. Chapter one, Spirit of Rational Inquiry in Protestantism, part one."

Will this be okay?

Sounds good to me, unless you want to include "volume 1" in your subsequent intros.

Do you want the sections numbered from 1 instead of 0, then?

I'm headed out, but I can change the section numbers later, if needed.

No, leave it starting at zero for the Preface. Chapter 1 will then be sections 1 and 2.

Aaaand...here's Section 3, to finish off Chapter 1. It's longer (34:31):

(Further sections will be slower in coming; I had recorded these earlier.)
