many thanks, Mayah. I suspect these chapters have a lot of French, but I know you won't have no trouble with that. ;)

oho ! you really want to finish the whole project ? Well, it's fine with me, as it was supposed to be a solo anyway. So I assign you all the sections, apart from the two that Mayah claimed right before you.

Have fun. And I'm moving us to Readers found ! Thank you

Sounds good. Here is Section 6--studied Old English (required in graduate school for English), taught Beowulf, studied in the Bodleian, so this was a walk down memory lane:

:9: well we walk that lane together, as I also studied Old English as main subjet at university, along with Middle English. I loved both but I think I preferred OE a little more. My first topic that I dealt with in a homework paper was about the funeral rites mentioned in Beowulf. I think I still have it somewhere at home. :hmm:

Excellent section although the lengthy MS descriptions at the end were a bit of a drag to plod through. Though lots of familiar names, so it was funny to hear them all again. I remember on our trip through Northern Italy we specifically made a stop in Vercelli because we wanted to see the MS  Unfortunately we didn't do our research properly so we didn't really know where to look for it and the locals were completely oblivious about the existence of such an important document. They probably thought we were funny.

I have a few small notes this time:

> at 22:14: (p. 59) "and fol., 1643" you said "following" but I think here is meant "folio", the size of the manuscript, as opposed to "quarto" which comes right before in the same sentence

> at 24:13: (p. 60) "Life of Alfred, fol., London 1574" – also here, I'm pretty sure "folio" is meant

> at 25:17: (p. 60) "Oxford 1698" – I hear 1690, but I may be mistaken :hmm:

thanks !

 woah, I see what you mean. My sincerest condolences for this list of old manuscripts. :help: You did indeed plod bravely through them and it's not bad at all (although I found a few minor corrections to make ;) )

Something else here, I was wondering whether we shouldn't change the chapter content a bit here and cut the last 10 minutes from Latin Chroniclers and Ingulphus to include them in the next chapter, because they fit better there. First the list and then all the chroniclers, divided over the next two chapters. So this chapter would only be 18 minutes long.

Would it be ok for you to do this ? It's only a cut and paste job. So here is what you need to do:

> from 18:02: starting with "Latin Chroniclers": cut the whole remainder of the section and include it at the beginning of the next section. But before you do that, here are the time-stamps for the corrections of this part ;) (and maybe you could mention the new time-stamps for me to find back easier in the next chapter) :

> at 21:55: (p. 91) stumble and repeat "2 Tom. Fol." – can be cut out

> at 21:58: (p. 91) regarding the same "2 Tom." – you say "second book of Thomas", but I was wondering whether it doesn't rather mean "two tomes" (volumes)

> at 23:15: (p. 91) stumble "quart" can be cut out, since you repeat octavo correctly afterwards

The rest is perfect.

Thank you :)
