Good morning. I'm fully caffeinated and have just listened to chapter 4, which is, of course, PL OK. After all these years the true story of the race between the tortoise and the hare comes out. I never knew that's how it happened. (wink!) I'm looking forward to the final chapter.

Right near the start of the recording you say

Mr. Crow stirred up a pan of hot biscuits by his best recipe

while the text says

...by his best receipt

That simply has to be a typo on Project Gutenberg's part, or maybe even a typo in the original - the proper word must be recipe.

Agreed re "recipe" vs. "receipt" - forgot to mention that, but as you indicated, it had to be an error somewhere.

I'm going to have a couple young children listen to these - if my deep male voice doesn't induce nightmares, I think I'll do some more of the "Hollow Tree People" stories.
