My power is finally back on! I ended up completely re-recording Johnny Appleseed since I recently got a new mic setup, and wanted the audio quality to match. Here is the fixed section:

https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/topazstorybook_42_skinner_128kb.mp3 (3:44)

And for easier reference, here are the fixed sections I posted on page 5:

https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/topazstorybook_16_skinner_128kb.mp3 (5:29)
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/topazstorybook_29_skinner_128kb.mp3 (6:31)

And my recording of section 44, which I also posted on page 5 but seems to have not been added to the list as "Ready for PL":

Please give me feedback! I'm always trying to improve!

Thank you, slickwiggler. You must tell me about your new mic setup some time in the off topic thread -- I'm happy with mine for now, but might want to upgrade in the future.

And here I am right behind Slickwiggler. I'd say I'm high and dry, but things are still a bit soggy around here. I'll catch us up and see where we are. I've been working my way down my todo list so I'll get right on these now.

Slick, I'll listen to your correction as a new entry, so no worries on that one. Also interested in your new setup as I'm just looking into one myself.

Spot PLs.

6, 70 and 74 are PL OK.

New ones.
Section 3.
Nice reading and a lovely singing voice as well.
There is a bit of a too long pause at the beginning. Should be shortened. Other than that it's good.
I might suggest a bit of baffling or soundproofing around your mic. There's something of a tinny sound to the recording from reflected sound. Nothing terrible for this type of recording. Just something to think about.

18 PL OK

23 PL OK

32 PL OK

41 PL OK

43 PL OK

47 bit rate should be 128kbps. It failed Checker for bit rate.

57 PL OK

61 PL OK

73 PL OK

82 PL OK

83 PL OK

Always a joy to listen to your readings, Larry. Only the one failed for a tech issue.

Here's some more. I'm batching these by reader so they're out of numerical order.

40 PL OK

11 PL OK

58 recorded way too slow. It needs to be speeded up.

75 is PL OK.

Hello!

I do not know what happened for the recording to be too slow. Anyhow, here it is with the correction:

Section 58

I'd love to show it off! haha. I'm about to leave on a business trip for a few days, and I'm planning on upgrading it a bit more later this week after payday, but this weekend I'll take some pictures and make a post in the off-topic board for y'all. :)
Please give me feedback! I'm always trying to improve!
