Please also include the running time of the recording when you submit the link. I need it to record for the person to proof listen to your recording.Lam83 wrote: ↑September 8th, 2018, 1:41 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/taleofmuleycow_15_bailey_128kb.mp3
Here is Chapter 7

I notice that some readers post several chapters at once. I have been pondering how that is done, but haven't been able to figure it out. If you know, I would appreciate it if you would tell me.

Hi Russ -
All you need to do is have the files in the same directory and when you go into the uploader and select where you want to pick the files from, pick that directory and highlight all the files you want to be uploaded.
You will then see the ones you select are then all filled in on your window ready to upload.
Let me know if this makes sense. I think my biggest upload has been about 25 poems so multiple files definately work nicely

Here is Chapter 8
https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/thetaleofthemuleycow_08_bailey_128kb.mp3 Time: 4:04
Ok, so I was able to select Chapters 8 and 9 together to upload and uploaded both of them from the same upload window. But then I could not select and copy bothof the files together so that I could paste them here. When I selected one of the two and then selected the other the first one became unselected. Or perhaps it is possible to open a "Post Reply" window such as this and then upload, copy and paste several files in it before hitting "Submit" ?? Let me try that.

Hah, it worked!!! Is this in fact the way or is there another way?

You CAN highlight all the sections though with your mouse - just click at the top left and sweep it down to the bottom right and it should highlight all that you have uploaded. It will also highlight the size of the file and each Clear button too, however do not worry about that, we will deal with that later. Now CTRL C (which copies) and then open a window here in the forum and CTRL V (which pastes). You will see it look something like this, assuming you are copying 3 sections - NOTE - this is fake data.
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynda/thetaleofthemuleycow_99_bailey_128kb.mp3 5.27 KB Clear
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynda/thetaleofthemuleycow_88_bailey_128kb.mp3 2.24 KB Clear
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynda/thetaleofthemuleycow_77_bailey_128kb.mp3 3.42 KB Clear
So now I click at the end of the Clear and backspace over the Clear and the size of file and instead enter the time from Checker or whatever you are using to measure the length. Please note we just need the format h:mm:ss and nothing more. So in the end my submission will look like this pretty quickly -
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynda/thetaleofthemuleycow_99_bailey_128kb.mp3 - 1:05
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynda/thetaleofthemuleycow_88_bailey_128kb.mp3 - 1:22
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynda/thetaleofthemuleycow_77_bailey_128kb.mp3 - 0:58
So no, you do not need to paste the lines one by one unless you want to - however yes, you should have one of the forum windows open if you feel more comfortable doing that way so that in one post you can include all your recordings that you uploaded.
I hope this answers your question and helps you save some time

Would it be ok for the intro to do the abbreviated intro, i.e. "This recording is in the public domain." and omit the rest as that will have been done for Chapter One? That's what was suggested and what I did in Venus Boy.
I need you to re-save this file for me please. It does not follow the naming convention for the files for this book. You have "the" at the beginning of the file where it should just be taleofmuleycow_##_bailey_128kb.mp3

Shasta - this one needs to be re-saved and uploaded again too like Chapter 6 please.Shasta wrote: ↑September 8th, 2018, 3:36 pm Here is Chapter 7

Guess what These two also need to be changed too in order to follow the naming convention.... Thanks!Shasta wrote: ↑September 8th, 2018, 9:11 pm Here is Chapter 8

Hi all!
As this book is full for people recording I have just posted a new book on the Launch Pad called The Tale of Fatty Coon by Arthur Scott Bailey
It still needs to be picked up by a MC and have the Magic Window entered into it so it is not quite ready for people to ask for Sections yet, however I thought I would let you all know that in a day or two, it will be ready!
Again, I am pleased to report we will have the same wonderful DPL, Helen, joining us
See you next in The Tale of Fatty Coon!

Hello Helen,
Please review updated audio recording:
https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/taleofmuleycow_05_bailey_128kb.mp3 Time 04:00
I am currently having issues with the time scale on Audacity, however, I cut the silence at the end down. If you need me to do it again, that is no problem.
Let me know your thoughts.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Chad
