And I just discovered ReplayGain on Audacity! Thank you for prodding me!terrybenn wrote: ↑October 1st, 2018, 8:53 amBeing honest, I have no equipment at all. There's a program called Checker that's available here at LV that does it for me. I just run the file through it and get a read out.jondalar1988 wrote: ↑September 25th, 2018, 11:59 am Terry, you obviously have better equipment than I. I'm unable to measure the waveform as accurately. Anyway, I gave it a little further boost and it should be all better now.....I hope!

ReplayGain is one of my essential tools. I have it check all of my recordings, and then use the Amplify feature in Audacity to make the adjustments. I use Checker, written specifically for LV, for files that I PL because it is so simple, and gives an exact reading in decibels as well as checking other LV specs.

Welcome to LibriVox
Well, it is entirely your choice. I would pick one to start with, and then if you want to record some more chapters you will have that one under your belt. So, just let me know.
Also, I need to know how you would like to listed in the LV catalog. Many of us just use our real names, but you may choose any pseudonym or nickname you prefer. This is how you will be credited for all of your projects.

Wonderful!
I've added you to the LV catalog, and assigned you section 26.
Just click on your name in the Magic Window to see your personal catalog page. This is where you can view all of your projects.
Have a great weekend!
