highly interesting section too. The family of this Appius Claudius seems to have been nasty guys over generations. I only recently read a poem about this incident where the father of Lucretia killed his daughter so she wouldn't have to marry Appius Claudius. And now I hear the story again.

Well, that's because I am recording at home right now with the nice interface. The rime at dante must be with the other one, if you want to compare (although Pier does the spot PL there, as he wrote me the notes incidentally per PN)

I only found two ALL lines still missing here:

Thanks, Sonia. I like the blank verse. Yes, imagine how much effort is involved in creating that rhythm throughout such a long work--like Milton's entire Paradise Lost and Tennyson's Idylls.

and also thanks for this interesting section on the Roman roads. Yes it must have been a feat back then to build all these roads throughout the vast Roman Empire.
