mightyfelix wrote: May 15th, 2019, 3:06 pm Thank you again for section 43, Phyllis. The sketch of the author of this section seemed markedly different to the tone in which most of the author sketches are written. It makes me wonder about the relationship there was, if any, between Crogman and Rucker. I have one minor note for you, a place where I think a slight misreading made the sentence a bit confusing.

1:52 I hear "Young as years ago..." Text reads "Young as years go..." (In reference to Rucker's maturity in spite of his physical youth.)
Good catch! Here is corrected version -

The volume for section 28 is only 85.2 dB. It needs to be increased by about 3-4 dB. Otherwise PL ok.

Yes, it did upload. When the uploader gives you that link that you copied, that's how you know it is finished uploading. :) However, your file name is incorrect. You left off the _128kb from the end. Don't re-upload just yet. I will go ahead and prioritize my PL for this section, to see if there are any other changes needed in addition to the file name change.

Welcome! :D I will hold these two sections for you, but please complete your one-minute test and wait for the ok on it before you begin recording for this. The test is to make sure your settings are ok for us to use, before you start on a longer piece. Instructions for how to do the test can be found here.

Uh-oh, now it is a little too loud, at 92.3 dB. :? I wonder what happened? Don't worry about it, though. I will go ahead and fix and re-upload it. Thank you, Phyllis!

Thanks, Mari, nice job on this one. Just a couple of tweaks. I already mentioned that the file name needs to be corrected. Also, you left only 1 second of silence at the end. Please add about 4 more seconds of silence at the end. In addition (but this is optional), you may want to run just a bit of noise reduction. It's not very noisy, but there is some noticeable white noise. If you set the noise reduction level at 6 dB, I think that would give you a good result.

I found sections 32 and 33 to be vastly different from one another. 32 was lucid, fluent, and inspiring. 33 I found to be confusing and muddled, and I'm still not sure what his main thesis was. :hmm: Maybe it was just me. In any case, both are PL ok!
