Sure!
You don't appear to be in the system yet. How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

For the record, I've reopened sections 11 & 12.

Hi Tricia,

Mike Botez is fine for the system, I can also take sections 11 and 12 if that's OK.

Thank you,

Mike

OK!

Here's your catalog page: https://librivox.org/reader/13273
When you click on Reader Section Details, you can see what sections have officially been assigned you and at what stage in the process they are.

You can get to that reader page via your name in any Magic Window in which you're assigned.

Hi Tricia,

Please let me have your critique on a sample I have uploaded.

I hope it is acceptable.

Thanks,

Sounds good to me so far. I'm not sure what to suggest for improvement. Carry on!

Uh oh. You named it "01", so it replaced the file for section 1.

I can rescue the section 1 file, but please be careful about putting the correct section number in the file name. :)

You don't have to do anything on your end to correct this. Please wait for the PL notes, and then if you have to submit an edited file, be sure to name it with an "11" in the name.

What is the run time (minutes:seconds) on the file?

Section 11:

Very good. Just a couple edits fairly common to new readers.

I'm going to give you the choice on the footnotes of either deleting them altogether (they add nothing for the listener, just being bibliographical) or would you please say "end of footnote" after the footnote, so the listener knows when it's the end of the footnote. You can probably just record "end of footnote" with a bit of a pause, then copy/paste that at every spot. I prefer just deleting them, but it's your choice. :)

5:42-5:56 - footnote 15

7:26-7:35? - footnote 16

25:52-25:59 - footnote 17

Needs 5 seconds of silence at the very end of the recording.

I suggest working on edits from the end back towards the front. That way the time stamps don't change when you add/remove anything. :)

Upload the new file the same way, using the same file name as before. Thanks!

Done

Removed 5:42-5:56 - footnote 15

Removed 7:26-7:35? - footnote 16 (from 7:09)

Removed 25:52-25:59 - footnote 17 (From 25:27:53)

Inserted 5s silence at the end of the section.

I'd like to try sections 15 through 18, if you think I'm up to it. I can send a sample soon and let you be the judge. (You won't hurt my feelings whatever you decide.)

E agora, José?
