 ok I see. I will listen to it all tomorrow, it's getting late here. But it's good that I will hear your part of this scene first as I am not quite sure yet on how to play my part. Maybe I'll get inspired by you. I pictured Cressida as sounding a bit more mature...so I wonder how this will clash with your teenager sex-maniac

Well, Cressida is your role, but I've always suspected she realizes she's not in a good situation, and so she decides she'll take what she can get, even if that's "only" Diomedes.

Drat, I was hoping no one else would post something, because I recorded all the stage directions today and now Sonia has to listen to even more files. I thought I'd get these done now, since they are the glue needed to paste everything together. Fortunately, this play is fairly light on them, so it won't take long to get through everything.

Tomas, can I switch the editing of 5.9. with your 5.4. please ? They are both not big, but 5.9. has the soldiers merging voices, and I prefer you do those. I didn't check this when I signed up for this scene.

Hamlet wrote: August 14th, 2018, 3:39 pmAntenor, and all of Diomedes.
ok I was just ploughing my way through Diomedes. :D Well done, Brad. And yes, I agree, you do sound much more boyish in this performance. Especially, Diomed's lusty laugh when he talks with Aeneas about Paris lying in bed, is amply showing his character  It's a good contrast to my more serious Aeneas in this dialogue.

I especially like your tirade in 5.4. where you attack Troilus. Really a youthful hothead !
Well, Cressida is your role, but I've always suspected she realizes she's not in a good situation, and so she decides she'll take what she can get, even if that's "only" Diomedes.
Yes I also think she is not betraying Troilus callously, but she has no other option once she is in the Greek camp, so she tries to make the best of her situation. I will reflect that in my character, she will have her sad aside moments. As for the dialogue with Cressida, yes, I think the way I want to speak her lines will fit well with your replies.

All but two scenes are PL ok.

PL notes for Diomedes 5.5.

> at about 0:23: missing line: "Ay, there, there."

PL notes for Antenor 5.10.

> at 0:01: could you just please record the full credit: "Antenor, a Troyan commander, read by Brad"

BTW, your desperate cry over Hector's death is quite convincing though. I'm glad you joined the chorus, it's really much better we have our 4 voices there.

Thanks !

that's ok, I have to check them at one point, and you're right, better have these out of the way immediately. It's very good that you use a totally neutral voice for the narrator, since it will clash so often with your roles. But luckily there are really not many directions, this is fortunate.

I just checked all the scenes from Acts 1 and 2 and they are all PL ok.

The rest will be done after breakfast. Stay tuned.

Oh another question, in the MW you made a note for the DP that I should rename the file. Do you want us to have them as Section 0 ? I should have thought about that when I set up the MW. :?

I quickly assembled Brad's Prologue with the stage directions already, so this part is done. But we'll paste the prologue into Act 1 in the end, so it will only be a temporary file for the moment.

Recording time: 2:20 min.

I also created a Sections to be deleted part at the bottom. Once a scene is assembled we can move the interim files down there, that will make it easier for me to delete them from time to time.

and Tomas, the rest of the stage directions are all PL ok. I'm happy they are not Pinero-sized  Still I wonder whether none of the acts has to be split up in two parts. :?

I knew I couldn't get through that without a couple of mistakes lol
I still can't get over messing up one speech in "Every Man In His Humour" three times! (Once by omitting it, and now reading it incorrectly twice!)
I'll get that error, and these ones corrected later today.

yes now the second error baffled me too in Every Man :? I was so embarrassed to have to refuse it yet again  but I found it sounded too strange to let pass.

Yes, we can. I changed the MW accordingly.

Now that I check the other Shakespeares we did, I think we do need the Dramatis Personae as Section 0. :help: And then the file name would be changed to troilusandcressida_0_shakespeare_128kb, as per the instructions in the first post.

Thanks once more, Craig. :D Hopefully Sonia gives it a listen before she does go to bed.

Also, I listened to Aeneas and once more, it's all PL OK, Sonia. I enjoyed this take, as well. I always assumed he was a nice fellow, but with the gruffness of your voice he's much more intimidating LOL. It suits him, though, especially when he is delivering Hector's challenge to the Greeks.

wonderful performance, Craig. Never again say you can't sing !!! Now I know why Helena was swooning over the song.

Oh and this initial scene where Pandarus explains each of the heroes that pass by them. It was a sort of "see what important people I know"-bragging  Well done !

3.1. is already PL ok.

Some PL notes for 1.2. though:

> at about 4:43: missing line: "Marry, at the white hair that Helen spied on Troilus’ chin."

> at 6:38: "ah, that's Aeneas" - this is not really conform to how Tomas wanted it pronounced: "ee-NEE-as" (stress on second syllable, listen to the file in section 12). Yours sounded a tiny bit like "anus" :? which I'm sure the great hero wouldn't have liked

> at 7:54: "There be hacks" - you say "he hacks"

> at 11:11-11:14: repetition: "I doubt he be hurt" - which of the versions did you want to keep ?
