What a lovely surprise to wake up to 3 more contributions! Thanks, Tomas, Ian and Garth. All PL OK.

2 more readers and we'll make 25, and still 2 days to go! Makes me wonder . . . . . what's the most readers we've ever had on a Fortnightly? And what was the poem? I don't suppose there is any easy way to find out. :(

And probably nobody cares but me. I just like that kind of data.

The cover is ready, and I'm itching to post it.

Hi Michele,
I'm not certain, but I think the fortnightly record may have been The Disagreeable Man - WS Gilbert which had 26 entries. I think you may be on course to beat that. Here's hoping...

So now Michele's competitive nature must fight off the urge to put out an all points bulletin . . . . . "Calling all readers, let's set a new record over at the Fortnightly." But where would I post it?????????????????

BTW, thanks for PL'ing mine. It was much appreciated. I am having a lot of fun with ya'll (that's southern USA for you all, or you guys.)

OK Matt, your first LV recording, and it is PL OK. Very dramatic. Very nice.

All I need now is for you to choose a Catalog Name that you want to appear in our Catalog of completed projects. This can be your Real Name, your username, or anything else you'd like to be searchable by. I use Michele Fry in the catalog so my friends and family can easily find me using LV's Search feature, and msfry as my username. It's your choice, but once chosen, can't be changed on catalogued material.

Oh, and in future, please post your file length along with the link, like so:

BC's must post this time in the Magic Window, part of the cataloging process.

Here's mine! I've heard this poem quoted before, but I don't think I've ever read the whole thing! Now I have! ;)

Hello Beth, and welcome. What a cool, crisp and clear recording. I don't think I've heard you recite before. It's lovely. Only one question, and this could just be a matter of British accent so I leave it up to you whether to change:

:47 twisted by knaves, I hear knives. Wouldn't matter at all but that knives is also a word. Knaves has a strong "ay" in it . . . knayves.

Here we go again! Just the one correction: https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/if_kipling_blt_128kb.mp3 (1:57)

EDIT: And with the two files above this post, I do believe that takes us to 27 readings of this poem!

Thanks, Beth and you are PL OK, par excellence.

And while that does take us to 27, the night is young and tomorrow isn't here yet, so if you (or any of our participants) were to invite an LV friend to join in, we could perhaps top 30!

Here we are. Thunder, rain, the "final" file refusing to upload and having to be re-recorded. *Laugh*
But it's done. *Smile*

Now, me? I'm going to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd : "Simple Man" ... for about the eighth time over the last two weeks.
It's been playing daily in the back of my mind since reading it here.
