Carolin,

I just uploaded my 1-minute test.

https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_peterblock.mp3

I posted this notification in the Readers Wanted section as instructed, but I thought you might want to see it here too.

I recorded the test in Audacity running on Ubuntu Studio 18.04 using an MXL 2001 analog studio condenser microphone running through a Lexicon Omega USB interface.

I've been assigned Section 9 ("The Boy and the Pessimist") in "Stories without Tears" by Barry Pain. Once I get the word my test is okay, I'll be ready to get started on it.

Thanks.

Peter

Carolin,

Correction: I posted the test upload in Listeners and Readers Wanted as instructed. With all the other test notifications.

I take it your "That's great, Peter" means "Thank you for uploading it, and I'll listen to it sometime soon."

NOT YET "Your test was satisfactory and you may now read for us."

Sorry if I sound impatient. I'm not really. I'm just big on clarity.

Shouldn't be a problem--there's nothing wrong with my test. :D

Ha! Unless there is. Wouldn't be my first blind spot.

I love to read, AND my employer matches my volunteer hours with a donation to the Internet Archive, flagged to benefit Librivox.org. How cool is that?

Yes!!! I'll be working on Section 9 today. I hope to have it uploaded in the next few days.

I'll let you know if any questions come up. Yahoo!

Hi Carolin,

I've noticed since my uploaded reading part (section 22) wasn't yet checked by the Proof Listener so far, I took this opportunity to re-record my whole work again and uploaded it with the time 26:2 with the below link as I wasn't very happy with my earlier uploaded work. Now I feel more comfortable and relieved that the outcome of my final work has at last become more satistactory for me.

Thank you for your understanding

Hi Carolin,

I've uploaded the recording for section 14 and it is ready for Proof Listening. The timing is 24:35.

Sorry this took so long. I see the section 14 was re-opened. Hopefully this one will make the cut.

If you are okay with perhaps waiting for up to a week I can claim Section 4. If you need it sooner I understand and will gladly let someone else claim it.

Thanks!
