Thanks for noticing my signature. If there are any places where you think it would be hard to understand what I'm saying without the text handy, please comment on it.jenniferrd wrote: ↑July 13th, 2018, 1:36 pmWalnut, I'm walking the line between what Librivox asks for PL'ing standard, and your signature line, requesting pronunciation critique. How strict would you like me to be? What I've heard so far is fine by Librivox, but I've heard a few words that you might want correcting?Walnut wrote: ↑July 13th, 2018, 8:07 am Here are sections 2-4:

Section 2: A Good Seed Cake
PL notes:
At :26 - the first sentence is missing of the section. It's not readily apparent, but the sentence directly before the "A Good Seed Cake" title is part of the section. It should read: A popular cake for the banquet and feast of the colorful period of Elizabeth and her household was A Good Seed Cake."
1:32 - I hear "lighten the butter" - the text reads "lighten the batter"
1:49 - I hear "cake mixing" - the text reads "cake making"
3:09 - I'm not sure if it was in editing, but on the word "successful" it sounds like there is a little hiccup or editing error where the word seems to jump a little.
7:45 - I hear "The proof. The pudding" - the text reads the "the proof of the pudding". In this sentence, the word "of" is important to the comprehension of the quote.
That was a very interesting section. I must say, I'm intrigued on the 36 egg cake recipe - I can't even imagine it!! Nice reading, Walnut!

Section 5 - Meat Pies and Recipes - PL OK!
Doesn't the cake sound good? I need to try this out - it very much like a modern day cake, it would be fun to try to recreate it.
