I really hate it when other people have to wait just for me...

So I pulled this up my list, and here we are, at 13:14:

Interesting that the plant's Latin name is "gossypium something". Is that because people would be gossiping while hand picking the cotton? I just checked on wikipedia, apparently in developing countries, cotton is still picked by hand!

According to wikipedia, the name of the genus is derived from the Arabic word goz, which refers to a soft substance.
