Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: Kitty
When your upload is complete, you will receive a link - please post it in this thread.
all set up, you can start filling out the MW. I only changed your copyright year, which you had wrong. The rest seems to be fine.
I guess you will do the intro/outro in Finnish though, so if you wish to change that in your first post, so the PL knows what to check, that would be helpful probably.
Good luck with the Pirate !

I will be on vacation from Wednesday 27 March till Sunday 14 April
and unable to PL during that time. Thank you for your patience.
Yes, I ask Kalilei (another active Finn on the board atm) first to proof-listen this. If he's busy, I can always ask my older brother (who has proof-listened my earlier projects), or my younger sisters.
And yes, I do intro and outro in Finnish, I'll update them soon in first post.

OK, nice!
Now the disclaimer is in Finnish in 1st post.
I've already recorded and edited quite a bit. I should have all the files ready for pl by the end of the June, if all works like planned.
I pm'd Harr1 but might as well post here. I can DPL this project as long as it is in no great hurry. I expect PLing is faster than recording but I have never done it before so I don't want to put too tight a schedule on it.
If Harr1 has the first section or two ready, maybe you can upload them and I can get started ASAP.

great, thank you for helping here, Kalilei I'll set you up as DPL then you should be able to enter the Magic Window and change the status to PL notes or PL ok, if needed.
The PL level for this project is standard, so you need not necessarily read along with the text, just write down if something strikes you as strange or wrong, missing parts of the sentence, or stumble and repeats. Note the exact time and error and post them back here.
Also do you have the Checker program ? Will you be doing checking the technical side of the files as well or do you want me to do that ? Just let me know whichever you choose.

Can you check the tech stuff? I am mainly on my iPad nowadays and I can't do that on it.
Consequently, I have listened the sections 1-3 and they are all OK! The only mistake was in the first section at 11:50 where it is "tarkastaessaan" in the recording and "tarkatessaan" in the text. A very minor thing but thought to mention it as I enjoy the old-timey language of the book. I'll leave it to Harr1 whether it warrants a change.
Another note to Harr1. Pronunciation on some of the non-Finnish words and names was a bit off. Nothing major but in case you want to brush up on foreign words for future recordings, I have found that forvo.com is an excellent help!

all right, thank you for notifying me. Yes, I can check the technical side.
All three chapters have passed the Checker no problem there.

have you managed to enter the Magic Window ? Because you can then set Chapters 2 and 3 to "PL ok" and Chapter 1 to "PL notes".
I'll do it for now, so there is no confusion.

I thought that only BCs, not PLers, had access to MW. But it seems I can edit it so I can do this in the future.
