Gary,
Great work on section 10. I do have one word-change I would like to have corrected.

25:15 - It is but the feeble expression of a faith strong and universal to say that their sons, whose blood mingled so often upon the same field during the War of 1812 and who have more recently borne in triumph the flag of the country upon a foreign soil, will never permit alienation of feeling to weaken the power of their united efforts nor internal dissensions to paralyze the great arm of freedom, uplifted for the vindication of self-government.
I hear sovereign

Since you will be modifying the file, please add 1 more second of ending silence. You have 4 seconds, which should be fine but the full 5 will ensure your reading is cut off during playback.

I am happy to take sections 6, 7, and 8 and get this thing fully assigned. Presidential addresses wasn't what I had in mind when I signed up on Librivox, but I am finding this surprisingly satisfying work.

Section 10 "Take 2" is ready for review.

"Sovereign?" Where did I ever come up with that? Anyway, linny, I re-recorded the whole sentence from 24:59.2 to 25:25.1. And added a second to the end.

Hi Mark,
I finished listening to section 12. You did a great job!

I do however have a few items for correction.

The volume is at 97.9dB. We aim for 89dB with a range of 86-92dB. Please reduce the amplification. You may want to look at your input settings. With volumes this high you are picking up a ‘crackle’ from distortion.

0:01 Section 12 of State of the Union Addresses (1849-1856).
I hear 11

29:45 End of section 12
I hear 11

As a side note, for future sections please include the word dollars when you read the financials. Example: $40,000,000., would be read as forty million dollars.

When you see/hear these words, you know someone is unhappy. Wow! the bankruptcies, not merely in money but in character

Sorry about the dB! As soon as I read that I realized I forgot to run the recording through MP3Gain. I will fix the mistakes and the audio tonight and get it right back to you.

No problem at all. Please do consider lowering your input though so you don't get as much distortion in your recordings. When the waves are flat at the top / bottom what was recorded was too loud and couldn't be captured. This is likely what has happened to cause the 'crackling' I mentioned earlier.
