Thank you, Gary.

There was only one word change I'd like you to make.

21:06 The revenue of the country, levied almost insensibly to the taxpayer, goes on from year to year, increasing beyond either the interests or the prospective wants of the Government.
I hear leveled

Since you have a correction to make, please also add 1 second of ending silence to bring it up to 5 seconds.

That was surprisingly interesting to read and record, but let me just say that if I were president, I'd have a stern talk with the speech writer that came up with the phrase, "These, as well as questions which subsequently arose concerning interoceanic communication across the Isthmus....."!

Let me know of any corrections of improvements. In the meantime, I'll get started on section 12.

Hi Mark,
I have your section downloaded an in my PL file. I'm glad you are enjoying the readings. Unfortunately these were likely written by the President and there is no speech writer to blame.

Mark,
Pierce certainly has some amazing run-on sentences. You did a great job. Thank you.

23:36 So soon as the necessity was perceived of establishing interoceanic communications across the Isthmus a company was organized, under the authority of the State of Nicaragua, but composed for the most part of citizens of the United States, for the purpose of opening such a transit way by the river San Juan and Lake Nicaragua, which soon became an eligible and much used route in the transportation of our citizens and their property between the Atlantic and Pacific.
I hear community

34:34 Please delete part 1

Also, please noise clean the section.

Still learning to make it sound good in Audacity - let me know if the noise is bad or I need to make other adjustments.

Hi Mark,
You did a great job with the reading corrections. Thank you.

Somehow you lost most of your ending silence. You're at about 2.5 seconds and we need 5 (or somewhat close to it). It doesn't sound to me as if you did noise cleaning. Are you certain you selected the entire track and not just what you selected for the noise profile? Here's a video which may be helpful. It likely isn't the same version of Audacity but should still be close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzVxubRO4gI I like this video because it walks you through how to find out the amount of noise reduction to use. Please let me know if you have any questions.
