Thbnak you Raj and kmemmons.

Good reading David, however the volume is too low at 82.4 dB, could you amplify and trim the opening and ending silences to spec per the opening post <0.5 to 1 second and ~5 seconds respectively ? Thanks

David -

Your reading seems to have fallen through the cracks. It is PL OK.

Welcome to LibriVox :D Good first reading Zala2845, but there are a couple of specs to correct before I can mark this OK.

1. - the volume is too low at 79.8 dB, we aim for approx 89 dB
*You should aim for your wave forms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:
Image

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker You will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK)
There is a great selection of instructional videos here. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Instructional_Videos

2. - The file is in stereo, we need a mono recording. If you are using Audacity, go to Edit |Preferences| Devices | Recording | Channels and select Mono from the drop down menu. This setting should stay mono unless you change it again.
