Hello Catland!

Welcome to the project and Welcome to Librivox!

You will need to complete a 1 minute test before I can assign you to read a section. The purpose for the one minute test is to see if your recording setup meets our technical specifications. It is not an audition. Should you need help adjusting your recording setup, we can help. Specific information on competing your one minute test can be found at this link: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

This link provides additional information that new users may find helpful:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

Once you have uploaded your 1 minute test, if you will post a message here (in addition to where the directions tell you to) I will see it and can help expedite the process.

I have put a hold on Section 40 for you for the next 10 days (until June 15) to give you time to complete your one minute test. Once you have done that and are cleared to record, I will then assign you the other sections as well (if they are still available).

Also, be thinking of what name you want your catalog name to be (you may use your user name, your real name, or another name). If you have a blog or website that you want us to link to, please let me know that as well.

If you have any questions or things that seem confusing, please do not hesitate to ask.

Many thanks,

Philip

Here's section 8:

Two comments:
- I started this recording yesterday, but I noticed my voice was a bit hoarse, so I continued today. I continued where I left off, but if you think that the bits from yesterday (the first 3 minutes or so) aren't up to par, I'd be happy to re-record the beginning.
- At the end of the part there is a note about authorship of the poetic parts. I didn't know if that should be included, so I recorded it, but I can easily snip it out if it's not needed.
Foon - Real life is getting in the way of LV, will be slow until all is back on track, please bear with me!

Readers needed:
Dramatic Reading: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Folklore/legends: Arabian Nights Vol. 11
Play: Zeus the Tragedian

And here's also the first story of chapter 4 (wanted a change of scenery before I tackle the last of chapter 1..)

That was a very harsh story

Thanks for Sections 33 & 34. I'm catching up on a bunch of PL-ing, so it may be tomorrow before I get these heard.

I'll keep an eye on the project and maybe claim some more sections at a later point, I really enjoy folklore and mythology! But for now I'm gonna focus on some other things on my to-read list

Thanks, Foon!

(The site going down yesterday put a crimp in my work flow so it may be a day or so before I get these PL'd)
