The Fatal Three by Mary Elizabeth Braddon (1835 - 1915).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-fatal-three-by-mary-elizabeth-braddon/
Written by one of the most prolific authors of the 19th century The Fatal Three although not as sensational as some of her other novels serves up some very fascinating characters. It also raises some very interesting questions regarding moral & religious education, Victorian marriage laws, mental illness and how one's upbringing can determine one's fate.
Delightful country homes and exquisite scenery provide the usual perfect backdrop for this enjoyable read by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. ( Celine Major)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://archive.org/details/fatalthreenovel00braduoft
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hello there!!!

Here we go! I've posted the first 2 sections. :)

This is a rather long book with some long chapters and some short. In order to keep some consistency in section lengths I am going to combine some chapters so that each section should range from 30-40 minutes.

Enjoy!!!

Very powerful beginning! Mystery & a wicked (almost) stepmother what more could a listener ask for; giving me chills already.
