When this project is completed, will you do a follow up Vol. 057?

Your advice is greatly appreciated and extremely helpful.
I made a separate copy of it in my note pad. :D
Hi Helen, Oh yes, there will be a volume 57!

I've been BCing the Nonfiction Collection since vol. 029 (cataloged May 5, 2013), and I'm still enthusiastic. Craig (Soupy) has been around as DPL (dedicated proof listener) for a long time too, (I think since Vol.039) and knotyouraveragejo (Jo) has been metacoordinator since the beginning. Jo started the nonfiction collection in 2007. Volume one of the collection, cataloged August 23, 2007, has been viewed 126,618 times!

And this one has filled up in just over a week! I have recorded something for this collection, but it was published in 2 parts so I will wait and submit it to 057. :)

Well, Jo, Vol. 056 is not quite filled yet. There's still one cookie left on the plate (section #15). Maybe somebody will grab it before the weekend is out?

Hi Sue & Craig,

Title: New Faces for Old
Text: https://books.google.com/books?id=UlA2AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA595&dq=studio+for+portrait+masks&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjJ1tuH4tzaAhVpxYMKHbJBCmgQ6AEIQDAE#v=onepage&q=studio%20for%20portrait%20masks&f=false
Duration: 7:50
MP3 URL: https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/snf056_newfaces_journal_hzf_128kb.mp3

Sadly, this is the best I could manage with the noise reduction. :(
After all my recording attempts, I never want to hear this recording again.
Sue & Craig if this is unacceptable, I understand.
TYIA for your suggestions/corrections.

Hi again, Helen. You know there are tons of techies on LibriVox who enjoy helping people improve their recordings. What I would suggest is, instead of getting discouraged, why don't you post a query about your noise reduction problems over at the "Help, I have an Audacity Problem" thread ( viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40238 ) and let somebody help you out. Or you could post a section from your recording in the "Listeners and Editors" thread viewforum.php?f=21 )and ask for help there.

Recording should be fun, not a source of misery!!! :)

Cheers,

Hi Helen, Oh my goodness! That's the saddest post I've seen in a long time. You must have had a really tough time today with this recording! We thank you for hurrying to record it for Volume 56. Please accept a virtual cup of tea and a plate of cookies as reward for your efforts!

I'm no techie, but I did apply a bit more noise reduction to your recording than you had in there, just to make it easier for Craig to PL your recording, and I uploaded this file as "newfacesforold" to keep it separate from your original file "new faces."

Craig, here is the file to use for your PL:
