Thank you!

How long are the recordings? Please remember to always post the duration of a recording when you post a link so that i can update the magic window :)

Also, feel free to claim some more if you like!

NOTES:

ALL three of these need 5 seconds of silence at the end. They have just one or two.

Section 9, needs amplification. The volume is just behold our lower limit of 86 dB. If you use audacity, just use the amplification feature and select plus 3.

Also in Section 9 there is a "mike bump" at about 0:06 right at the end of that phrase. This is minor, but it is easy to snip out since you need to edit this file anyway.

Another general observation is that the plosives are quite noticeable. It sounds as if you have the mike quite close and speaking softly. This can be helped by having the mike further away, and not talking straight into it. A pop filter might be useful too. No need to do anything to these recordings (except as above), but something to keep in mind for the future.

Please upload the corrected files under the same name, then post the links here again along with the new file lengths.

Let me know if you have any questions.

These are nicely read, but both need:

1. The outro, 'End of poem. This recording is in the public domain" at the end.
2. Followed by 5 seconds of silence. (Both have less)
There are also some clicks that can be eliminated after the end of the poem.
3. Optional: Personally I would opt for some moderate noise reduction to take out the background hum.

Let me know if you need any help with any of this.

ah! i had re-recorded these because there was a weird reverb in my initial ones, but i forgot to edit the ending on these--thanks for the catch! I'll modify them as soon as the dishwasher next to me stops running
I should be able to reduce the noise, but please let me know if you can still hear it when I upload them again! I use Audacity to record and adobe audition for filtering, but i'm sort of learning as i go.

edit: ok! here they are
