Elaine,

The reading is fine, and Section 60 is now PL OK with the adjusted volume.

All of the others, however, are again to high in volume, as follows:

62 94.7
72 93.7
76 94.2
77 94.3

Additionally the file name on 76 has the .mp3 in it twice, so you can correct that when you upload the new file.

Here are two programs that I use to adjust the volume of recordings:

1. CHECKER
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker>CHECKER.

This little program was written specifically for LibriVox, and is very easy to use.
Just drag your file to the Checker window, and it will quickly check it for all LibriVox specifications and give you a report.

One of the measurements is the volume in decibels. Use the Amplify feature under the Effect menu in Audacity to adjust the volume, by setting the value to plus or minus to bring the recording close to the LV target of 89 dB.

2. ReplayGain
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity

This article will introduce you to ReplayGain, which is a plugin specifically for Audacity. There is a link to download it and a link to a tutorial on how to use it. Once installed, it is easy to use. Depending on your version of Audacity, it will appear either in the Analyze menu or the Effects menu. ReplayGain can be selected to analyze the recording, giving a reading of how many decibels, plus or minus that the recording is off from the target. It is then easy to use the Audacity Amplify feature to make the adjustment before exporting the file.

Thanks for taking a look at them and thanks for advice. I thought audacity had pre-set and saved my volume but will have to re-check again before I proceed. Apologies. I have tomorrow morning free (Thurs), so can correct them all then and re-post. I had a -4.5 on the other one I corrected. Hopefully it will work out just fine.
I will take a look at the links you have added.
best wishes

The others are fine, but this one did NOT pass Checker. Now at only 80.7 dB.
Also the file name is still incorrect, with .mp3 repeated..

Thanks for these. All nicely read.

22 Typhoon, however, needs, "by Cale Young Rice" after the title of the poem.
Th closing silence is a bit long at 6 secs, and we like to see it closer to 5, so you might trim that since you need to re-submit anyway.

Also, you did not include the file length in you post.
Since I already had these in Checker, I entered in the MW, but always remember to include that.

Just upload your corrected file under the same name, then post the link here again along with the new file length.
