This project is now closed for submissions. A new weekly poem will be posted soon!
Alrighty, folks, I've chosen a nice little poem about books for us this week.
As usual, each week a poem is chosen to be recorded by as many Librivox volunteers as possible! Have fun!
Where My Books Go
by William Butler Yeats
ALL the words that I utter,
And all the words that I write,
Must spread out their wings untiring,
And never rest in their flight,
Till they come where your sad, sad heart is,
And sing to you in the night,
Beyond where the waters are moving,
Storm-darken'd or starry bright.
You can access the poem here in the Bartleby collection:

File name: where_my_books_go_yeats_[your initials].mp3
ID-3 tags (version 2):
Title:Where My Books Go
Artist: William Butler Yeats
Album: Librivox Weekly Poetry
Genre: Speech OR Other
Comments: Recorded by [your name] **this is optional**
New readers: remember to read the "librivox disclaimer" at the beginning of your poem. Because we are doing such a short poem, you can do an abbreviated version such as this: "Where My Books Go, by William Butler Yeats, read for librivox.org by [your name]" or some variation on that, adding date, location, your personal url, if you wish.
**FYI: Contrary to what the spelling of his last name seems to imply, Yeats is pronounced "Yates" with a long "a" sound.**
At the end of the poem, it is a good idea to say "end of poem" and leave a few seconds of silence.
If this is your first recording, please read the Recording Notes http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106
When you are finished, please post a link to your version in a reply to this post, or use yousendit to get it to me at this address: ac DOT timshel AT gmail DOT com
Please also tell me what name you want listed on the catalog page and your website address if you want that included.
If you wish to contribute, please have your readings submitted by 5:00 PST on Saturday, January 14th.
Enjoy yourself! I look forward to listening.
(Remember, anyone who submits a recording can choose the next weekly poem! If you'd like to pick next week's poem, just post here!)
